Police: Thieves Make Off With $160K In Bronx Supermarket Robbery Spree

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a band of thieves who robbed a number of Bronx supermarkets by carving holes into walls to steal cash from safes and ATMs.

The NYPD says surveillance video from one of the eight robberies reveals five masked men breaking into the stores.

It’s estimated that the thieves made off with over $166,000 in total.

The burglary spree dates back to Sept. 1.

The most recent heist was on Dec. 12 at a C-Town on Southern Boulevard, where they stole more than $20,000 from an ATM.

Cops described the suspects as five masked Hispanic men.
