NJ Police Seek Person Who Threw 2 Kittens From Vehicle

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- The search is on for a person who threw two kittens from a vehicle in New Jersey.

It happened on Route 70 and Massachusetts Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Toms River police say witnesses saw the passenger of an older model, faded red Nissan Pathfinder with black roof racks toss the kittens into the middle of the road. 

One of the kittens died after it was run over by another vehicle.

The second kitten was rescued by the witnesses, but ran off into the woods and has not been found.
